Alexander Beglov: During the All-Russian online voting, Petersburgers can choose their own urban areas for landscaping

In the last decade of April, the All-Russian online voting for landscaping facilities was launched. On the website zagorodsreda.gosuslugi.ru every citizen over the age of 14 can cast his vote for the territory where he would like to see a new landscaped public space.

"Comfort and coziness in the city is one of the ten priorities of St. Petersburg's development in the coming years. According to the tradition of recent years, we have been working in this area together with St. Petersburg residents — within the framework of the "Your Budget" project, the "Native District" competition and others. Starting in 2019, residents of St. Petersburg can also choose places in need of renovation and improvement through an all-Russian online voting on the Gosuslugi website. This is a convenient platform for making such decisions," said Governor Alexander Beglov.

The head of the Northern Capital recalled that from 2019 to 2024, 283 public spaces were opened in St. Petersburg. Online voting participants are given a choice of two territories in each district of St. Petersburg. They were selected by the district administrations, taking into account urban development priorities, as well as the wishes of residents. Of the 36 objects included in the final list of St. Petersburg, the voter can choose only one address.

The voting is conducted within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". The winner will be the territory with the highest number of votes. It will be included in the targeted program "Creating a comfortable urban environment". Among the winners of previous years are the Lapka River embankment in the Krasnogvardeysky district, the square at 9 Sizov Avenue in the Primorsky District, the Lyubashinsky Garden in the Kalininsky district, and a large park with an extreme sports playground on Raumskaya Street in Kolpino.

Voting will last until June 12. Besides the website zagorodsreda.gosuslugi.ru You can cast your vote in the mobile application "We solve public Services together" or in public places with the help of volunteers.
