The prosecutor's office explains: responsibility for arson

The St. Petersburg Prosecutor's Office explains:
- The commission of an explosion, arson or other actions aimed at destroying or damaging enterprises, structures, transport infrastructure facilities (including railway relay cabinets) and vehicles, communication facilities (including cellular towers), life support facilities (including fuel and energy complex facilities, electrical substations, water supply facilities, etc.) It qualifies as sabotage under Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The maximum penalty for such a crime is life imprisonment. - The commission of an explosion, arson (including administrative buildings of military commissariats, state authorities, etc.) or other actions that intimidate the population and create a danger of human death, causing significant property damage or other serious consequences is qualified as a terrorist act under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The maximum penalty for such a crime is life imprisonment. - Arson in a residential building, residential premises, as well as in close proximity to them is qualified as an attempt to kill two or more persons committed in a generally dangerous manner under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraphs "a", "e" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The maximum penalty for such a crime is life imprisonment.
