On January 26, 2026, the staff of the KDC took part in congratulating the residents of besieged Leningrad, dedicated to the 82nd anniversary of the complete liberation of the city from the Nazi blockade. The head of the Kalininsky district, Mikhail Astashkevich, and the first deputy head, Anna Kuvayeva, informally congratulated the veterans on the memorable date, wished them good health and discussed topical issues of the district's life. Legendary songs of the war years performed by Yuri Yurkin, the head of the Rodnye Melodies collective, and Andrey Tokarev, the accordion player, became a heartfelt gift for the guests.
